Chase’s story.
Chase is currently a senior at Stanford University majoring in English with a Creative Writing emphasis and a minor in Psychology. She enjoys writing poetry, personal essays, and children’s books, as well as crafting multi-media art pieces, book-binding, and of course, scribbling thoughts in her journal. She has written for McKinsey News, an internal news publication, as well as The Flourish, Stanford’s mental health publication. When she is not piecing words together or reading them, she fills her time by dabbling in Scrabble, going on walks, doing crossword puzzles, playing pick-up basketball, and listening to the same music as her father.
Chase grew up in suburban New Jersey and recently moved to New York City. Throughout her years, she has been published in the America Library of Poetry anthology, as well as in McKinsey News, The Flourish, Stanford Report, Stanford Caesura, Stanford’s Leland Quarterly, Brave Voices Magazine, Teen Ink, and her substack. Her art books have also been displayed in Stanford’s Cantor Art Center, Stanford’s Green Library, and in the archives of the San Francisco Public Library and UNLV Lied Library. She is currently writing her second children’s book.
